wonderful stay. fabulous campsite. helpful staff
We visited for 3 nights in October and all my queries prior (and after) arrival were answered promptly. We stayed in Bay View Field on hard standing which is a small area but with its own toilets and kitchen area. Quiet and peaceful. We really appreciated our time here and the kindness and flexibility of the staff. Thank you.
Couldn’t ask for more
Booking via email was easy and flexible. Bridget was wonderful, helpful and friendly.
Nice relaxed check-in with a friendly smile. The pitches are well kept. Some areas are not quite flat pitches, but the flexibility to choose where you set up (in the non electric fields) allows you to find an ideal spot. So quiet, peaceful and relaxed.
Facilities are plentiful, well kept and immaculate. The visiting food vans / on site food gives great options for meals and breakfast on weekends.
Any issues, and Bridget and her team are more than happy to help. What a wonderful couple of stays I’ve had here, thank you. (I will be returning, without a doubt.
Lovely campsite, handy when walking the SWCP
We only stayed the one night but this was a lovely place to camp. Only a mile off the coast path so very handy for us. We were blessed with good weather so we could sit out and chill after our walking. Nice showers. On our visit there was a gourmet burger van visiting (no veggie option though) but I was well catered for. Same van there in the morning for breakfast muffins (this time with veggie options). Bridget was a very welcoming host and very quick to answer all our questions. I’d certainly visit again.
Fantastic night when walking south west coast path.
My daughter and I were walking the coast path 0.80 mile off the coast path- easy to find. Arrived and welcomed in bought milk and plenty of other snacks available. Had a lovely hot shower that was immaculate in cleanliness. Very peaceful night. Food truck had food although we didn’t need to use it. Really recommend this site for any coast path walkers 3.6 miles out of westward Ho along the SWCP.
An Amazing Camping Experience in North Devon
This campsite is one of the best we’ve visited in the UK!
First of all, the price is really reasonable — it was the first time we paid for electricity based only on what we actually used, which is great!
You can bring your own food, but the supermarket isn’t far from the peaceful, green campsite. Even better, there’s a food truck on-site during the summer season and delicious wood-fired pizza available on Saturdays!
We didn’t have a sea view, but it’s only about a 25-minute walk from the campsite to the stunning coastal path.
We highly recommend this spot!
Motorhome holiday 8th -13th July 2025
Spent 5 nights at Westcott. Lovely clean well kept site. Nice walk to the pebble beach. Lovely hosts, and they sell Lovely bacon and sausages in their little shop!!
Love the music in the toilets- makes you happy in the morning 😁. Lots of room and friendly site.
Will return. Thank you.
Friendly site, super location
Stayed here in June 25 for a couple of nights during our tour of the West Country. Super location on a fully working farm overlooking the sea and Lundy Island. Site was very well kept and facilities were superb. Our hosts Bridget and her hubby were lovely and delivering logs to our pitch was no trouble for them whilst engaging in a friendly chat also. Would definitely recommend this site, close to Bude’s lovely beach and great for biking on the Tarka trail. We will definately return, thank you
Perfect site
A very well thought out site, clean, even dog poo bins which was unusual, owners very nice, overall could not fault it.
Beautiful, peaceful, tranquil
Situated on a farm close to Abbotsham cliffs, Westacott Farm Camping is probably the best site in North Devon. It’s easy to get to just 5 mins from the A39 but we couldn’t hear the road at all. Beautiful views of lundy island from the site. Westward ho! Only 55 mins walk direct from the site,
down the road a bit then onto the SW coast path. Facilities are excellent probably the cleanest and best we have been to in terms of hot water etc.
Although it’s a working farm who doesn’t like the sound of lambs bleating and ponies neighing. We had a hard standing pitch with electric and used £5 for the week on electric so super value for money. Big pitch too complete with picnic bench which was great for outdoor eating/cooking.
Bridget is such a pleasant lady always friendly with a smile on her face and genuinely happy to help.
We will absolutely stay again and recommend very very highly.
Thank you for a wonderful week.
